Isabelle Lopez Kotara
Isabelle is an intuitive painter whose work is a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of sound, emotion, and nature.
Fueled by a lifelong passion for art and global tastes in music, she channels her emotions into bold, expressive canvasses. Her paintings are a visual symphony, where color becomes a language to convey the complexities of human experience and the beauty of the world around her. From the quietude of nature to the energy of urban life, her art reflects the world she sees, hears, and feels.
Her most recent works have begun to explore the complex interplay of emotions, memories and relationships and the profound bonds formed throughout life, from the euphoria of love to the intensity of extreme conflict. Through vibrant and sometimes dark color strokes, she continues to translate her experience into visual poetry, inviting the view to contemplate their connections to her pieces.
She states “Art is a powerful language that transcends words. It is a visual dialogue between artist and the world, a raw and unfiltered expression of the human experience. An abstract piece can evoke a myriad of emotions and provoke deep contemplation. For me, creating art is a form of catharsis, a way to connect with exploration of emotions and expression, delving into my inner world without judgement. The canvas becomes a blank slate where thoughts transform into tangible creations. My art is a barometer of my human spirit and its resilience.”
She is currently represented by Anarte Gallery, San Antonio, Texas and Ardest Gallery, The Woodlands, Texas.
